Creating Compassionate Workplaces
Dr. Elaine Smith is an inspiring woman to work with. We had the opportunity of working with her this spring on her new training program.
Elaine is a distinguished Clinical Psychologist and Business Wellbeing Consultant, dedicated to helping corporate leaders enhance employee mental health and foster psychological safety in the workplace. Since establishing her private psychology practice in 2018, she has worked with a diverse range of clients and organizations, leveraging her extensive academic and professional background to make a significant impact in the field of workplace wellbeing.
Her journey in psychology began with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, followed by a Master of Science in Forensic Psychology. She then achieved a doctoral-level qualification in Clinical Psychology, equipping her with a deep understanding of mental health and its implications in various contexts, including the corporate environment. Her expertise is not only rooted in her academic achievements but also in her practical experience.
In 2024, recognizing the increasing need for compassionate leadership and mental health support in corporate settings, Elaine developed the Creating Compassionate Workplaces course. This innovative training program is designed to support businesses and business leaders across the UK in fostering environments where employees feel valued, safe, and supported.
Elaine approached us to design graphics that reprisented the core values and goals of her program. We designed the logo and graphics for the Creating Compassionate Workplaces understanding the importance of visual identity in communicating the course’s mission. The resulting logo is a harmonious blend of elegance and purpose, reflecting the course’s commitment to fostering healthier, more supportive workplaces.
The colours were selected to represent harmony, balance, and wellness—core values that underpin the entire program. Soft, calming hues were used to evoke a sense of tranquillity and balance, essential for creating a psychologically safe environment.
